Meta Description

The short summary shown under your page title in search results that helps convince people to click through.

The meta description is a short snippet of text, usually one or two sentences, that appears beneath your title in the search results. Google does not use it as a direct ranking factor, but a clear, persuasive description can dramatically improve how many people click on your listing.

Aim for roughly 120 to 160 characters, write it like a mini advertisement, include your keyword naturally, and give the reader a reason to choose you. If you leave it blank, Google will pull its own text from the page, which is often less compelling than what you would write yourself.
