Crawl Budget
The number of pages search engines will crawl on your site within a given time, which matters most for large sites.
Crawl budget is the amount of attention a search engine is willing to spend crawling your website in a given period. Each crawl uses resources, so search engines limit how many of your pages they fetch based on your site size, health, and popularity.
For most small business sites this is rarely a problem. It becomes important on very large sites with thousands of pages, where wasted crawling on duplicate or low-value pages means important pages get visited less often. Keeping your site fast, fixing broken links, and removing junk pages all help search engines spend their budget wisely.
