The block of three local business listings with a map that appears for location-based searches.
The local pack is the prominent block of (usually three) business listings shown alongside a small map near the top of Google results for local searches, such as "cafe near me" or "electrician in Bondi". It is prime real estate because it appears above the regular organic listings.
Ranking in the local pack depends on relevance, distance, and prominence. The biggest levers are a well-optimised Google Business Profile, consistent business details across the web, genuine customer reviews, and local links and citations. For local businesses, appearing here can drive far more enquiries than a standard listing.
