Bounce Rate
The percentage of visitors who leave your site after viewing only one page without taking further action.
Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors who arrive on a page and then leave without visiting any other page or taking an action. A high bounce rate can suggest the page did not match what visitors expected, loaded too slowly, or was hard to use, though context matters a lot.
Not every bounce is bad. Someone who finds your phone number on a contact page and leaves satisfied still counts as a bounce. Look at bounce rate alongside other signals rather than treating it as a pass or fail score, and focus on improving page relevance, speed, and clear next steps.
