URL Slug

The readable part of a web address that identifies a specific page, such as the "about-us" in yoursite.com/about-us.

A URL slug is the end portion of a web address that names a specific page. In the address "yoursite.com.au/services/seo-audit", the slug is "seo-audit". A clean slug helps both people and search engines understand what a page is about before they even open it.

Keep slugs short, lowercase, and separated by hyphens rather than underscores or spaces. Include your main keyword, drop filler words like "and" or "the" where you can, and avoid changing slugs after publishing unless you set up a redirect, otherwise you risk breaking existing links.
